Wednesday, December 10, 1 P.M.  – The Giving Season: Stuffing Stockings for Our Community

Help us celebrate the season of giving and bring joy to our community!

We will be creating holiday cards and stuffing stockings for teens at the Eastern Panhandle Empowerment Center (EPEC), a community charity whose mission is to protect victims, prevent violence and empower survivors of domestic violence, amongst other harmful situations.

Charles Town Library will provide stockings for decoration as well as supplies for making cards. However, we need YOUR help stuffing the stockings with holiday goodies for teens in need.

EPEC suggests the following items based on teens’ requests in prior years:

– Travel sized skin care items

– Lip gloss/chapstick

– Nail polish

– Mini-LED lights

– Fun/patterned socks (such as Pop Socks)

– Hair accessories

– Bracelets

– Chocolate/candy/gum

– Stickers

– Earbuds/headphones

– Mini speakers

– Pins/buttons

– Phone chargers

– Mini journals

– Pens

– Fidget toys

Participants are strongly encouraged to bring one (or more!) of the above items. All donations will be delivered to EPEC *before* Christmas day.

This program is recommended for ages 8+, but families are welcome!
