Charles Town Library is a non-profit public library located in the heart of Charles Town and Ranson, WV. We are a central library hub for Jefferson County, serving approximately half of the county’s population.

Old Charles Town Library, Inc. has provided library services to Jefferson County for almost 90 years. The Charles Town Library is open free-of-charge to the public. The library provides a full range of library services including book borrowing privileges, a reading room, reference services, internet access, a local history room, audio-visual materials, and specialized programs for teens, children and adults.

We are proud to serve Jefferson County and continue to grow and develop as our patrons do. Please stop in and get acquainted!
