Dorian’s first visit to the library

On his 15th day on the planet, Dorian made the first of what hopefully will be many visits to the Charles Town Library.
His parents, Caitlin and Kevin, of Ranson, visited us Thursday to have his first official photographs taken.

Dorian was named after the character, Prince Dorian, in Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas. Caitlin is a great fan of the fiction genre, especially the Lord of the Rings stories by J.R.R. Tolkien.

Local photographer and teacher, Taylor Fox, was chosen to capture the couple and the new addition to the family.

We hope to see much more of Dorian as he progresses through the many choices in the library, exploring not only the fiction his mother loves, but all realms that live on our shelves and in our free online selections.

Dorian and his parents were also given the record book to 1000 Books Before Kindergarten, a great tool to introduce and strengthen a young reader’s love of the printed word and for preparation for their first day of school. Please ask for more information about 1000 Books and how you can get your own free copy of the record book as well as a free board book for your budding reader.
