Jefferson County is the third fastest growing county in West Virginia. That means we now have more people with more questions who need to learn about their new home and get settled as quickly as possible.
Where do you go for that information? The Charles Town Library, of course. And, since the library’s services are free, your new library card is free, your online resources are free, and there are no late fees. Why wouldn’t a trip to the library to get a library card be right at the top of your To-Do-List?
September is Library Card Month. We will be at the Charles Town Farmer’s Market on Saturday, Sept. 11, with information, free books for the kids and other goodies. Be sure to drop by, even if you already have your library card, just to say hi.
We will also be celebrating the month with three in-person Outdoor Story Times. They will be held in the playground area of the Charles Town Presbyterian Church, located next door to the library. Miss Julie will read stories for our youngest patrons in a beautiful, protected spot.
She will be there at 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 13, 20 and 27. Be sure to stop by and enjoy hearing some fun stories in person, not on Facebook.
